We decided that last Sunday was a good a day as any to go get our Christmas tree. Don't be fooled by the title of this post though. Although I like the thought of heading out in to the woods to find the perfect tree, the local nursery has a wonderful selection, hot apple cider, yummy gingerbread cookies, a train set, 2 reindeer AND a camel. Yes, a camel. Why would you trek out into the frigid wilderness when you can have all of this 5 minutes from home? If you are us, you wouldn't.
Nate's favorite part of our outing was definitely the train set. Everytime we walked away he would turn around and race back to watch the trains circle the tracks one more time.
Jill really enjoyed helping us decide on a tree and watching the guy tie it to the top of our car (of all things!). She was so excited that we were finally taking home a tree. She asks at least twice a day, "Mommy, is it Christmas yet?" and checks her stocking for presents everyday when she gets home from school. It's fun to see her so excited about Christmas, but we may be regretting getting our tree so early by the time 12/25 arrives!

Nothing like the look of Christmas in a child's eye to get you in the spirit!
What a great outing!
thanks for sharing the Christmas tree hunt with us, it was almost as good as being there! The looks on those little faces is precious.
Love from G/pa & G/ma Sous
