We've learned quickly that bringing home baby #2 is a much different experience than bringing home baby #1. Jillian is already a wonderful big sister. She likes to hug and kiss Nathan. She tells us that "baby brother" is smiling at her. :) That being said, Nathan's arrival has definitely accentuated Jillian's two year old tendencies. We have heard a lot of "don't," "mine," and "don't talk to me that way" in the past week. We expected some of this, but experiencing it has been a whole different story. Every day gets a little better!
Nathan is quite the little snoozer. Last night he went to sleep at 10:30 and I actually had to wake him up at 6:30 this morning! Eight hours of uninterrupted sleep for mom and dad - much needed. I'm looking forward to the weekend ahead. It's nice when the four of us are home together.
It's hard to believe that our family is complete. Sometimes I feel sad that we'll never have another little fresh born baby (I LOVE this stage), but I also feel excited for the future and to have my body back (!) and to never be pregnant again! Most of the time I just feel lucky - lucky to have a wonderful husband and two happy, healthy little ones. :)
