Last Saturday we made the trek down to Portland to visit the fam. What a great weekend we had! Jillian spent the weekend spouting off names, "Auntie Jen, Uncle Chris, Julia and Emma," saying "walk away" to and grunting at Emma (those two have a love/hate relationship!) and answering every question with a very clear "ok." Not sure where she picked that up from, but it was pretty funny! Jillian was very sad to leave on Monday evening - she had such a fun time playing with her cousins.
Some highlights:
- A Dairy Queen swirl cone on Saturday afternoon - yum!
- An adults night out on Sunday night - we went and had a drink at a downtown bar and saw Arcade Fire - this was the first night out the four of us have had together since Julia was born almost 7 years ago!
- The sun coming out on Monday afternoon
- The gelato we ate after the sun came out on Monday afternoon
- The time we spent at the Rose Garden after the sun came out on Monday afternoon
