A day to remember

At the beginning of June I became a very happy mama when Nate finally started attending Small Faces with Jillian. Let me tell you, one drop off/pick up is a beautiful thing. It's only for three months since Jillian starts kindergarten in September (wow, that deserves a post of its own!), but I will take what I can get. Nate is adjusting well to being a "tree frog" and his sister takes very good care of him. A couple of fun stories from Nate's first few days:

  • At one point Nate decided that he wanted to go visit Jillian so he just walked out of his classroom and down the hall to hers. Nate's teachers didn't notice until Jillian's teacher brought him back. From that point forward they kept a VERY close eye on him!!
  • All of the classes at Small Faces share recess time so Nate became very accustomed in those first few days to having his sister on the playground or in the gym (on rainy days) with him. One day Jillian's class was heading back to their classroom earlier than usual and Nate got very upset. Before the teachers knew it Jillian and Nate were both in tears and clinging to each other. He didn't want to be left and she didn't want to leave him. What a sweet pair they are when they are getting along!
Here are a couple of pictures of the first day:

What an adorable post! It actually teared me up a bit as well as made me feel anxious!!

Tears, cause time flies AND the sibiling story is so cute.

Anxious because I can't believe I will be teaching Kindergarten this coming year and in charge of 20-25 Jillians!! Not to mention their learning! I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since you had her! Gah!

Such exciting, yet emotional times.
