We reached a huge milestone this weekend. On Sunday Justin went to Costco and bought Jillian a big girl bed! On Monday we put it in her room thinking that she could spend the week getting used to it (while still sleeping in her crib) and then we'd spend this weekend transitioning her from one to the other. Jill had a different plan - she jumped right in to bed on Monday night and proceeded to fall fast asleep. Repeat on Tuesday night. We were shocked. Wednesday night and tonight were a different story - some crying, coersion, many ups and downs and lots of talk of how her friend Frankie sleeps in a big girl bed - but she still ended up in the bed, sound asleep. Justin and I both like the fact that we can now sneak in and give her a little hug and kiss before we go to bed. No more crib side rails to deal with!

awww...that is such a milestone.
Reading them a good night story in bed. Falling asleep with them if they are sick or scared. Or just taking a nap with them on the weekends.
Does she get out of bed by herself in the morning? Emery used to stay there and yell "Im awake!!" until we came in to get her.
What a big girl! And how about that hair??
Such a smart little granddaughter we have. She just knew that it would be more comfortable in a big girls bed:) Love the pictures! Grandma and Grandpa W
