Ode to Bed Rest

Wow, one year ago yesterday my affair with bed rest began. I distinctly remember waking up Sous to tell him we needed to go to the hospital. I remember telling him 2 or 3 times that he needed to get me some pants to wear (we laugh about this now - he was so groggy from being woken up at 2am!). I remember feeling panicked on our way to the hospital and I remember (very well) feelings of sadness when Dr. McDermott told us that I would not be returning to work and would be on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy.

I also remember feelings of relief when we learned that our precious little baby was healthy and doing fine. I remember the love and support of our amazing family and friends. I remember learning to enjoy the rest that I was lucky to get before Jillian joined us. Although I would like to have a normal pregnancy next time around, if I do end up on bed rest again I'll count on this blog entry to remind me of the positives!

Happy one year anniversary, bed rest. I'm so happy to be free! :)

(P.S. Dad, don't worry. The picture of the house was taken last summer. The grass is currently green and lush, with minimal dandelions. tee, hee...)

Wow, Molls....that one year has absolutely flown by! (I'm sure more for me than for you as I wasn't the one trapped at Swedish for days on end) :)

Don't worry about the grass. Dad has ground squirrels and voles eating his so he is much too busy with his own to worry about anybody elses:)
Hard to believe that a year has passed already and all of our worrying and prayers brought us a beautiful little granddaughter. Can't wait for the end of the month to get here. Love to you all, Dad and Mom W

Sitting here in Bulgaira right now, it's hard to believe that when I said goodbye to you, you were still in the hospital. It's even harder to believe that I haven't yet met your little angel. What a sweet, sweet blessing she is. What a brave mom and dad she has - good guides to have in this crazy world. Love you, Jinx
